Watching & Waiting
Like comfort food - I have fond memories of this playing in JC Penny when I was 10 years old, shopping my mom.

While the older kids were at science camp this week, Maxx had a great time hangin' out with his Momma at the local parks, zoo, botanical garden, etc. What a lucky guy!

I watched this last night on Netflix and it was awesome. Believe it or not I used to be a creepy Mac collector guy. I've owned nearly 75% of the models shown in the video and at one time probably had close to 100 Macs in our basement. I learned a lot about refurbishing, etc. and made the hobby lucrative, however I'm glad the obsession has ended. We're down to just 4 macs now which are all used daily, but maybe I need an old vintage keepsake...

Had a great vacation last week and an excellent Father's Day. I am now back in the office, fully rejuvenated. We spotted this little trooper above, on our way home yesterday. What are the chances one seed could land in a crack and grow this tall?

Pleasant Surprise
So, I snuck a vacation in this week. We went to a condo and had a great time. To my surprise, this little beauty had sprouted while we were gone. On a whim, I bought about a dozen okra plants this spring on planted them in the extra pots on our patio. Voila- harvest time. Now I guess the plants need to produce fifty more pods, to generate a serving or two.

I think a huge part of good parenting is not only acknowledging your kids thoroughly, but also showing them (sometimes in creative ways) that you care. This guy has done a phenomenal job. You have to read this article to fully appreciate...
