I am so busy this week, nearly a dozen logos to be designed, not much time to blog. Happily listening to Dylan all week. Today I volunteered at my kids' elementary school to help decorate Thanksgiving cookies. Everything went well, except one kid drew all over his arm trying to emulate my tattoos. I did learn this also: All kids are messy, some kids are REALLY messy.

Weekends

Going to Castlewood State Park today, Costco and out for Chinese food. Should be a great time.  After living in the city for 10 years now,  I appreciate the outdoors more than I used to. I also appreciate the weekends these days, as they always involve quality time with the wife and kids, detachment from the computer and zombie shows. You know how I love my Sun. night zombie program.

Buy this book next, about Saul Bass: "He would go on to design posters and title sequences for dozens more films over the nex forty years, including Psycho, North by Northwest, Big, and Goodfellas. His last major project was Casino in 1995. Bass also designed corporate logos and packaging for more than 25 major companies ranging from the Chicken of the Sea can to AT&T's "world logo."

Traffic?

Luckily, I don't have to deal with real traffic on a daily basis, but I do struggle with getting regular traffic to my website consistently. Does anyone out there have any new suggestions on gaining quality traffic, aside from your usual Adwords, etc.? Or would anyone with a website like to swap links with me to gain more traffic?

...purchased yesterday from Target- first book I've bought for myself since college, 10 years ago. I'm only 35 pages in, but it is enthralling, captivating and inviting.  Obviously I'm not a "big reader", I often get lost and my mind wanders while reading, in turn not comprehending much- but this author, Walter Isaacson truly has a way with words. He reinforces important aspects without being redundant- I strongly suggest this book (so far) to anyone interested in any of the industries Mr. Jobs perfected- design, technology, music, etc.

Speaking of food, I ate so much delicious chili served in crockpots last month, I thought I'd share this lady's blog which lists a different crockpot meal she prepared- everyday for a year! Pretty impressive, plus I counted 9 different chili recipes.
