A roaring (fake) fire

Our coal burning fireplace (circa 1904) has been pretty useless, as the chimney is capped off and the space for burning is really small. Until- I found this beautiful, fake, crackling electric log set at Home Depot.  It took a little retrofitting- but is more entertaining than the empty space:
